Sarah Koger found her passion for science as she worked in a climate change lab on BYU campus. An Art History-turned-Biology and Arabic major, Sarah’s path towards becoming a scientist has not been easy; still, she is grateful for the opportunities she has had to give scientific inquiry a chance. Sarah is passionate about science education and is currently collaborating on a project to design an educational display in Samoa that will educate local school classes and visitors about the local marine ecosystems. Sarah looks forward to graduate school where she hopes to focus on the relationship between climate change, public health, and culture. She is also excited to use the Arabic she’s learned to participate in research in North Africa and the Middle East, an area especially vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
