Alissa Dorman is a Piano Performance major who will pursue a master’s degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy after graduation. She is interested in adding to the body of research exploring the strengthening, healing, and character-developing impact music can have on individuals, families, and communities. Alissa runs her own private piano studio and works for the nonprofit, the Musiclink Foundation, which is dedicated to helping kids with financial need get access to quality music lessons. After serving a mission in Milan, Italy, Alissa now teaches Italian to senior couples in the MTC. When she is not working or studying, she spends time in the mountains, reading, or composing sacred music. She is from Rexburg Idaho.
