New fellows are set to help Wheatley Institute conduct research and support the Institute's mission. Each fellow will focus on one of Wheatley's three initiatives: religion, family, and constitutional government.

Dr. Paul Lambert joins the Wheatley Institute as the Director of the Religion Initiative

Utah Governor Spencer Cox gave a sneak peak about a new initiative that he is in the process of creating at the Braver Angels National Convention. The initiative, which is to yet be announced, focuses on creating a healthy conflict model for Americans to use when disagreements arise. Deseret News wrote about his presentation on the democratic need for the improving how Americans disagree.

Washington Examiner journalist Heather Hamilton cited Wheatley Institute research in a recent article. The article explores the mental health of adolescents in conjunction with the social media use of their parents. Hamilton uses research from the report "Teaching by Example" which was authored by Sarah Coyne, Emily Weinstein, Spencer James, Megan Gale, and Megan Van Alfen and published by the Wheatley Institute in June of 2022.

Jenet Jacob Erickson, an Associate Professor of Religious Education at Brigham Young University and Wheatley Institute Fellow, shared her thoughts on Supreme Court draft leak regarding Roe v. Wade. The draft penned by Justice Samuel Alito seeks to overturn the Roe v. Wade case of 1973 that granted the right to receive an abortion.

Hal Boyd voices his perspective on being a christian in modern times. Boyd’s post comes in response to a talk given to Ensign College by President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Oak’s addressed students of Ensign College along with Elder Clark G. Gilbert, the church comissioner of education, on May 17th of 2022 in Salt Lake City.
