The Jack and Lois Wheatley Leadership Scholarship is a three-year program that supports the final year of undergraduate study at Brigham Young University, followed by equivalent support toward two years of graduate study at an accredited graduate institution of the student’s choice.

Wheatley Scholars are recommended by faculty and students cannot request to be nominated.

We are looking for students who are:

- Selfless
- Concerned for important matters beyond their personal agenda
- Successful in enlisting others to help improve the world around them

Strong preference will be given to students whose interests align with the three initiatives of Wheatley Institute:

family, religion and constitutional government.

Students majoring in related topics are obvious possibilities, but students from many majors may have these interests and are welcome nominees.

Faculty may make up to two nominations each year.
