Dr. Timothy Shriver is a University of Utah Impact Scholar, the Chairman of Special Olympics International, and founder and current CEO of UNITE. He will offer his perspective on the role of dignity in civic virtue. This event is co-sponsored by the BYU Political Science Department, David M. Emily Reynolds, Assistant Director of Wheatley Institute, delivered a campus devotional at Ensign College about the importance of prioritizing faith and family in an increasingly self-centered world.

On March 13, Wheatley Institute, along with the BYU Religious Education Department and the Peacemaker Project, welcomed Dr. Lawrence E. Carter to BYU campus for an inspiring speech on the necessity of active pursuit of world peace, outlining steps students could take towards establishing peace in both their personal lives and in a global community.

They use research from the Wheatley Institute report called "Teaching by Example" to explore how parenting styles impact the realtionship that kids have with the technology in their home.

Washington Examiner journalist Heather Hamilton cited Wheatley Institute research in a recent article. The article explores the mental health of adolescents in conjunction with the social media use of their parents. Hamilton uses research from the report "Teaching by Example" which was authored by Sarah Coyne, Emily Weinstein, Spencer James, Megan Gale, and Megan Van Alfen and published by the Wheatley Institute in June of 2022.
