On November 11, Timothy Shriver gave a lecture on “Moving From a Culture that Divides Us to a Culture that Unites Us.” The event was sponsored jointly by the Office of Civic Engagement and the Wheatley Institute. Tim and his growing team at UNITE, are building around a bold vision to promote national unity and mutual respect across differences. They are working to find solutions that transcend tired debates and old divides.

About Timothy Shriver
In addition to being the co-Founder of UNITE, Shriver is the Chairman of Special Olympics International. He began his career as an educator and co-founded and currently chairs the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), the leading school reform organization for social and emotional learning. He has produced six films, is the author of the New York Times bestseller Fully AliveDiscovering What Matters Most, and co-editor of The Call to Unite: Voices of Hope and Awakening.
