In honor of Constitution Day, Wheatley Institute and the Washington National Cathedral are proud to present a special event that will explore the enduring relationship between religious faith and American democracy.
The evening's keynote address will be offered by President Dallin H. Oaks, President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. President Oaks will reflect on faith, religious liberty and the Constitution that continues to shape American public life today.
Following President Oaks' address, Jeffrey Rosen, CEO Emeritus of the National Constitution Center, will moderate a panel featuring:
- The Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington
- Melody Barnes, Executive Director of Karsh Institute of Democracy at the University of Virginia
- Rabbi David Saperstein, Former United States Ambassador-at-Large for Religious Freedom
