Madeline Christianson is a BYU Honors student majoring in both Economics and Political Science, interested in how legislation and institutional incentives sustain American families, religious communities, and governments.
After successfully lobbying Congress to award the Ghost Army of WWII the Congressional Gold Medal, she gained firsthand insight into the role of core values and institutions in shaping effective governance, and she developed a deep commitment to public service. She has pursued that commitment through her experiences with the Utah State Legislature and Washington Seminar programs, and she currently works as a caseworker for the U.S. Senate helping constituents navigate federal agencies.
Madeline aims to continue working in roles that connect public institutions with social values and plans to pursue law school to strengthen her ability to influence regulatory frameworks and ensure critical institutions serve the public effectively.
In the coming year, she looks forward to serving as Vice President of Phi Kappa Phi, contributing as an officer in the Political Affairs Society, and writing for the Political Review.
