Jessie Moore is a junior at Brigham Young University studying Political Science and Russian. After working as an au pair in Sweden, Jessie developed a strong interest in human flourishing and international affairs, an experience that continues to shape her academic and professional pursuits. She currently serves as President of The Peacemaker Project, a student-led organization dedicated to addressing polarization by advancing principled, rigorous dialogue across ideological and cultural divides. In this role, she leads initiatives that train students in civil discourse, facilitates cross-partisan engagement, and develops scalable models for bridgebuilding on university campuses.
This past year, she attended the Woolf Institute at Cambridge University, further deepening her engagement in interfaith dialogue and bridgebuilding. This summer, Jessie is excited to intern in Kazakhstan, where she will contribute to efforts aimed at advancing human rights protections and strengthening legal accountability in Central Asia. Jessie plans to pursue a J.D. with the goal of working at the intersection of international human rights law and public policy. In her free time, Jessie enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, traveling, reading, and finding new recipes to cook.
