Jacob Alberto Badal is a Linguistics major with minors in Spanish, Portuguese, and History. Jacob grew up in a mixed culture home speaking both English and Spanish. Through the love of his family's cultures and experiences as a missionary, he found a love for language that helped him choose his major and minors. He is an assistant to several Linguistics professors and also serves as a romance paleographer for the Family History department where he works on the BYU Script site in all romance languages. After graduation he plans to continue his studies in Trans-Atlantic and Rio de la Plata History with the hope of eventually becoming a professor of history. He is from Chino, California.
