Emily Blackhurst studies Human Development at BYU and is passionate about strengthening families through research, education, and policy. She works as a teaching assistant in the School of Family Life and as a Faith Project Manager at the Ballard Center for Social Impact. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a Master of Public Administration so she can better advocate for family-focused policies around marriage and childbearing. Most importantly, Emily is a disciple of Jesus Christ, passionate about helping others develop faith in Jesus Christ. Emily is happily married to her husband, Porter, and enjoys singing, playing piano, hiking, cooking with her husband, and traveling. Emily and Porter are self-declared connoisseurs of delicious foods and the performing arts and consider a combination of the two a perfect date night.
