Clayton Van Woerkom studies anthropology and Middle East studies/Arabic at BYU. In the future, he plans to pursue a PhD in socio-cultural anthropology. His academic interests include Islam, the anthropology of religion, linguistic anthropology, the Arab world (especially North Africa and Yemen), immigrant life in Europe and North America, and secularism in France. In his free time he enjoys hiking, climbing, caving, canyoneering, and reading.
