2026 Wheatley Scholars

Charlie Rhodes was raised in Kaysville, Utah, and recently married his wife, Eliza Stewart. He is studying Strategic Management with a minor in Economics at the BYU Marriott School of Business. Charlie's path was shaped in large part by the two years he spent serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ghana, where working alongside local leaders and members deepened his sense of responsibility to use his education in service of others. He has since worked with the FoRB Foundation, an organization tied to a UK Parliament All-Party Parliamentary Group, supporting international religious freedom and partnering on humanitarian projects for victims of religious persecution in Nigeria. He is also a 2026 Interfaith America BRAID Fellow, where he is learning to build coalitions across faith traditions. Charlie will join McKinsey & Company as a Summer Business Analyst in Dallas in 2027 before returning full-time after graduation, and he plans to pursue a JD/MBA, drawn to the philosophical foundations of the U.S. Constitution and hoping to one day apply his legal and business training to public service. Outside of school, Charlie is a devoted student of American history and an avid hiker — in the past two years he has summited Half Dome, Mount Whitney, and Angels Landing, and trekked the Kalalau Trail along Kauai's Na Pali Coast.
