Ashton Blake is a junior studying Political Science with minors in Economics and Ancient Near Eastern Studies. Passionate about boosting student involvement in political parties and public affairs, he most recently served as President of the BYU College Republicans from 2025 to 2026, and he serves as Vice President of the BYU Political Affairs Society for the 2026-2027 school year.

Ashton is also interested in the philosophical and religious underpinnings of sustainable liberal democracy as well as the historical role of the US Supreme Court in shaping constitutional law. He cares deeply about defending moral traditions and political norms that facilitate principled governance, encourage respectful political dialogue, and strengthen society’s conception of the good. He plans to attend law school after graduating from BYU and hopes to one day run for legislative office. In his free time, Ashton enjoys reading, camping, and spending time with family.
