Thomas Gassaway

Student Scholar 2016

Thomas GassawayThomas Gassaway is an International Relations Major who claims the United States as his hometown. He was born in Vancouver, WA although he grew up in six different states and has visited forty-eight of them. He refers to himself as a “news nut” because of his fascination with following world events. His main interest is in the realm of understanding conflict. What causes violence? Can conflict be avoided? Is war ever right? He is a member of the Air Force ROTC program and hopes to one day become an AF representative for the State Department in embassies abroad. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to e-books while hiking national parks.
