Cassandra Ball

Student Scholar 2015

Cassandra BallI’m twenty-four years old, and I come from Phoenix, Arizona. As a Classics major with an Anthropology minor, I spend most of my time researching Greek and Latin language, literature, and history, and attempting to address questions of gender roles, class divisions, and ideals of excellence and virtue as they relate to Classical Antiquity.

As an active member of Eta Sigma Phi, the Classics Honors Society, I love to volunteer as a Greek and Latin language tutor and participate in events to help show the rest of campus the value the Classics. I’ve been very lucky to have worked with some of the best professors BYU has to offer, and their advice and guidance has helped me make the most of the amazing opportunities available at our wonderful school.

In my free time, I enjoy taking walks and hikes, going to the movies, and reading books of all types and genres.
