Michael Devonas is Chief of Staff at Transparent Health Marketplace, a technology company he helped start, which connects payers and providers of workers' compensation medical services. From 2014-2016 he was a Research Assistant with the Clayton Christensen Institute for Disruptive Innovation focused on U.S. healthcare reform and strategy. During the summer of 2014, he was Country Director for HELP International in the Fijian Islands, working on development projects in microfinance and maternal health. As a student at BYU, he and two other Wheatley Scholars co-founded Brigham Capital which is the first student-run hedge fund at the university. He was Research Assistant in computational chemistry, publishing in the Journal of the American Chemical Association. He was also a Summer Associate at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Germany, and an exchange student at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University. Michael served as a Teaching Assistant for general chemistry and on the MCAT faculty at Kaplan Test Prep. He was an officer with the Premed Club and worked as a phlebotomist for Mountainstar Blood Services. In addition, he served as a full-time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2008 to 2010 in Frankfurt, Germany. Michael graduated from Brigham Young University in 2014 with his bachelors in Biochemistry and minor in Business Management. He currently lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
