Student Scholar 2011
From 2011 to 2013, Ethan Busby was a Student Scholar at the Wheatley Institution. In April of 2013, he graduated magna cum laude from BYU with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Statistics. While at BYU, he also worked as a Student Research Fellow with the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy and helped carry out the 2012 Utah Colleges Exit Poll.
Since graduating in 2013, Ethan has gone on to graduate school at Northwestern University. There he is currently a PhD student focusing on Political Psychology. His research centers on the nature of partisanship, emotions in politics, and political decision-making. Other work he has done deals with experimental manipulations of threat and the nature of populist attitudes, specifically as they relate to vote choice.
